What it answers
The label itself
Read one section instead of pulling the whole insert.
Who makes it
Labeller and establishment, linked to the same organisation spine as the filings.
What changed
Versions are kept, so a warning added last year is still visible as an addition.
Three calls
Straight from the gateway’s own self-description — these are the calls it suggests first.
Find labels
POST /v1/drugs/search {"query": "GLP-1 受体激动剂 减重", "filters": {"has_boxed_warning": true}} Read one label
GET /v1/drugs/read/<set_id> Filter by class
GET /v1/drugs/facets?field=pharm_class_epc Narrow it — route · product_type · is_rx · has_boxed_warning · pharm_class_epc · effective_year
What it will not do
These are US labels: approval, wording and warnings differ elsewhere, and the adverse-event databases are not in this domain.
- 67% (171,903) are product_type=UNMAPPED: those SPLs have no openfda mapping block, so generic name / route / pharmacologic class may be empty — use spl_name for the product name.
- Only the latest version per set_id is kept; no label history.
- Indications and contraindications are extracted highlights; go back to the label for prescribing decisions.
